From the bright , friendly exterior to the ebullient personality of the staff, il Pastaio (which means "pasta maker") creates a warm and inviting atmosphere where the pasta is the star. Il Pastaio’s concept was designed around pasta as the main course and there is no finer in the city. Executive chef Giacomino Drago and his famous brother, master chef Celestino Drago have designed the classic neighborhood trattoria that is always bustling with great food and activity. The decor is done in a light, airy fashion, never stuffy or formal.
The front corner display station is usually staffed by the "pasta maker" who consistently turns out the best fresh pasta in town. The full service bar is a local hangout for many regular diners who can’t seem to get enough of chef Drago’s home cooking. And who could resist the abundant display of desserts created daily in il Pastaio’s kitchen.
The waitstaff, many from Italy, are efficient and professional - perfect to get you in and out if you are in a hurry or to cater to a more leisurely pace.
